Hey , today looks fine, no rain at the moment, so I'm going to do a Raku firing. i glazed the pieces up last night. so should be nice and dry ready for the off. i have to repair the top of the kiln though first as the fibre has come away.well the firing didn't go to bad! had a couple of good results, but because the gas cylinder was low didn't seem to get the heat and pressure. i needed more sawdust to! so some items will have to be fired again
I delivered my piece of work to 53degrees exhibition at the new schoolhouse Gallery York on Monday, and the private view in on Saturday afternoon. It should be a very good show, its open to the public from Tuesday the 2nd of august for six weeks so go closed on Sunday's and Monday's. So if your in the area pop in and have a look, as York is a beautiful city as well.
